Q: Where can I buy your products?
A: You can always purchase our products through our website or by calling 1-800-4DenTek. Our products are also available from major retailers such as: Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite Aid, Kmart, Long’s Drugs, Kroger, Safeway, Publix as well as many others. Look for us next to the toothbrush section.
Q: I’m nervous to place an order online, how do I know my identity won’t be stolen?
A: We want to assure you our website is safe. Our site becomes secure once you “Proceed to Checkout”. If you notice the http:// address at the top of your screen will change to https://, which signifies a secure website. Still don’t trust it? Right click the page and go to Properties, it will show you a certificate proving the authenticity of this claim.
Q: I placed an order online and now I want to change it. How do I do that?
A: We are unable to change an order once it has been processed. Please make sure to double check the order before you submit it. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, and PayPal.
Q: I purchased a product from a retail store and don’t like it. Can I get my money back?
A: DenTek does not offer a money-back guarantee on all of our products. Please visit the retail store you purchased it from to inquire about their return policy. If you are unable to return your product, please call 1-800-4DenTek and our consumer affairs representatives will be happy to help you find a product that better suits your needs.
Q: I received an offer to visit the Prize Vault and enter a code. Where do I enter the code to claim my prize?
A: To claim your prize, simply become a member of the DenTek Nation and look for the box that says “Redemption Code.” Enter your claim number there.
Shipping
Q: Once my order is placed, how long will it take to get to me?
A: - All orders received before 3:30 p.m. EST will be processed the same day. Any order received after 3:30 p.m. EST will be processed the next business day. Your order is shipped out the day after it is processed. We ship all orders FedEx* and it takes approximately 3-5 days (standard) or 2 days (express) to get the order to you. We cannot guarantee delivery time after it leaves our headquarters in Tennessee. You will receive an email with a tracking number confirmation once your order has been shipped. If you still have questions about the status of your order, please call 1-800-4DenTek.

Q: I live outside the U.S. and want to place an online order. How do I do that?
A: - Unfortunately, our website does not currently accept international orders. Check back as this functionality may be added in the future.

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: DenTek’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. EST, excluding major holidays.
Q: I am interested in distributing DenTek products. How do I go about doing that?
A: - We are not seeking new distributors or overseas distributors at this time, but thanks for thinking of us.
Q: Do you only sell products to consumers?
A: - No. We just launched a professional line of products for dentists and dental professionals. Look for links to professional content here on dentek.com.
Q: I’m interested in joining the DenTek family because I love working with oral care products. What kinds of job opportunities are available?

Q: Your products are made overseas in places like China, South Korea, and Vietnam. I’ve recently heard about some issues about products there. Are yours safe?
A: - DenTek prides itself on making quality oral care products. ALL of our products are continually tested through independent labs and we have found no harmful substances in any of our products. We use very trustworthy and respectable suppliers overseas. We do not believe in doing business with companies that do not hold themselves to the same ethical standards that we do.
Q: Do you test your products on animals or are there any animal-like substances found in any of your products?
A: We do not test our products on animals. We have marketing interns for that. We also do not use any part of any animal in the making of our products.
Q: There is a DenTek product I’m looking for on your website and can’t find. How do I find it?
A: The following products have been discontinued. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we are always working to improve products, so some products have been replaced.
  1. Floss Brush (we no longer manufacture this product but visit our Interdental Cleaners section. Many Floss Brush lovers have started to use these products.)
  2. Thin Set Cap and Crown Cement (You might find our other dental repair products to work just as well.)
  3. Secure Denture Bonding Cream (this product is now distributed by Oh So Natural, Inc. )

A: No, if at anytime you decide this program is not right for you call us and we will cancel it.
Q: When will I get an invoice?
A: You will receive an invoice with your order. All balances must be paid in full before the next order ships.
Q: How will I pay my invoice?
A: You can mail a check made out to DenTek Oral Care or call 1-800-433-6835 and will we process your Visa or Master Card.
Q: Is there a limit to how many products I can have on Auto Ship?
A: There is no limit. We will auto ship as many products as you need.
Q: Is there a limit to the quantity I can order?
A: There is no limit. We will auto ship the quantity you need.
Q: What if it is time for my order to ship, but I still have a lot of inventory?
A: When we contact you to confirm your order, we will be happy to put your order on hold for a few days.
Q: What if there is a better sale going on at the time my order is suppose to ship?
A: We will make sure you are aware of any specials going on at the time your order is shipped and that you get the best price available.
Q: How often does my order have to ship?
A: That is up to you. Your order can ship every 30, 60, or 90 days.
Q: What if I have a balance on my account when my next order is due to ship?
A: You will be contacted by a representative and asked for payment. Your next order will not ship until the balance is paid.
Q: What if I am unavailable when the representative contacts me to confirm my order?
A: We will try to continue to contact you. Unfortunately, we will not be able to ship the order until we have spoke to you.
Q: What happens if you are out of stock of an item when it is time for my order to ship?
A: We will ship as much of your order as possible and give you a 10% discount on the entire order. The remaining part of your order will ship as soon as the product is available.
Q: What happens if you discontinue a product that is on my auto ship?
A: We will contact you as soon as that item is discontinued. We will also send you free samples of any products we have that are comparable/replacing that product.

Q: I heard that there's a connection between gum disease and heart disease. Is that true?
A: Yes. While there are several theories as to the exact reason, it has been shown that those with periodontal disease are nearly twice as likely to suffer from heart disease. In fact, periodontal disease can worsen heart conditions in general. Studies have also found evidence of a link between periodontal disease and stroke.
Q: I just realized I'm grinding my teeth at night. What can I do?

Q: My doctor said there is plaque in my arteries. Could this be because I haven't gone to the dentist for a cleaning in over a year?
A: No. The plaque in your arteries and the plaque on your teeth are completely different. But you should still schedule a cleaning. And lay off the potato chips.
Q: If I don't have anything stuck in my teeth and I brush really well, do I still need to floss?
A: Absolutely. In addition to food particles, flossing removes plaque from under the gum line. Plaque can lead to tooth decay, gum disease and other really gross mouth conditions.
Q: At what age should children start flossing?
A: Once any two teeth touch one another, it's time to start flossing . Usually they won't be able to adequately floss their teeth on their own until they're about nine. Until this time, you will probably need to do it for them.
Q: What's the difference between plaque and tartar?
A: Tartar is plaque that has hardened on your teeth. Tartar gives plaque more surface area to grow on. Also, it's more porous and therefore absorbs more stains. To avoid buildup, brush and floss daily.
Q: Does mint flavored floss help get rid of bad breath?
A: Actually, all floss reduces bad breath. Flossing removes bacteria and it's bacteria that's responsible for bad breath.
Q: There are so many types of new toothbrushes. Are there any that can do double duty so I don't have to floss?
A: Not now and probably not ever. It's simply a matter of surface area - a toothbrush can't reach every surface. In fact, brushing only cleans about 70% of your teeth. Flossing takes care of the other 30%.
Q: Is it better to brush first or floss first?
A: Whichever you prefer. The important thing is to do both.
Q: How do I know if I'm flossing correctly?
A: A good place to begin is with a visit to DenTek's Floss University. Pull up a chair and check out our instructional videos about flossing technique. Or consult your dentist or hygienist.
Q: Is it better to floss while in the car or not floss at all?
A: Flossing is an integral part of oral hygiene. If the only time you can find to floss is in the car, than so be it. If you are the one driving however, we recommend mouthwash only. (Spit at your own discretion.)
Q: My boyfriend wants to use floss in the bedroom. Is this healthy?
A: As long as you're both comfortable with the idea, it's perfectly healthy. Many strong relationships start with strong teeth.
Q: Can flossing make you gain weight?
A: No. Even if you ingested all the food particles the floss loosened from your teeth, you still wouldn't gain weight.
