Emergencies are a fact of life, which is why DenTek made a kit specially designed for dental misadventures. The Dental First Aid Kit is equipped with Temparin, Toothache Medication, and a Tooth Saver container. Take it with you on vacation, to your favorite hockey player's game, or just keep it in your medicine cabinet ready for any dental emergency that might come your way.

Instructions: Replace a lost filling: Wash the cavity area with warm water and dry with a cotton swab. Scoop a small amount of Temparin from the vial, and roll into a ball between fingers. Pack tightly into the cavity area. Close your teeth together, as if you were biting down on a piece of paper, and chew or grind a couple times to create a comfortable bite. Remove excess Temparin from around the area. Temparin will set softly in your mouth within a few minutes, but avoid chewing on the repair for 2-3 hours to allow the material to set.

Secure loose crowns, caps, or inlays: Try the crown or inlay first to see if you can fit it accurately back onto the tooth surface. If you are not able to do so, then do not proceed further. If the crown has a post attached to it or if there is tooth surface remaining inside the crown, Temparin may not adhere. Carefully rinse the tooth area and the inside of the crown, cap, or inlay with warm water, and dry thoroughly with a cotton swab. Scoop a small amount of Temparin from the vial, roll into a ball between fingers, and place evenly inside the crown, cap, or inlay. Place the crown, cap, or inlay on the tooth and bite down, applying pressure to push into position. Temparin will begin to harden within a few minutes, but avoid chewing on the repair for at least 2-3 hours to allow the material to set. Use a toothbrush to gently clear any excess material from around the crown, cap, or inlay.

Toothache Medication instructions: Rinse affected tooth with water to remove food particles. Pat dry with cotton swab. Saturate tip of cotton applicator with medication in vial, apply to tooth. Avoid touching surrounding gum tissues, cheek, or tongue with wet applicator tip. Do not leave applicator in mouth. Do not use this product more than 4 times per day unless directed by a dentist or physician. Use fresh applicator for each use.

Tooth Saver instructions: If tooth is dislodged, collect the tooth and do not try to clean it, there could be important soft tissue that will help in the healing process. Fill Tooth Saver container with milk or your own saliva. Place broken or whole tooth in container making certain that milk or saliva is completely covering tooth. Contact your dentist immediately. Chances of successful replantation are best if you see the dentist within 1 hour of mishap. CAUTION: This emergency repair kit should not be used if there is throbbing pain or swelling in the affected area. If swelling or redness is present, contact your dentist or physician immediately. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

Caution: To avoid infection and/or serious injury, this product should not be used if there is throbbing pain, ulceration or swelling in the affected area. If any of these symptoms exist, consult your dentist immediately. This product should not be placed on open wounds. READ ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE! Wash and dry your hands. Use only what is needed to repair the dental emergency, and save the rest for a future application. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

"I consider it a mobile miniature dentist's office. I first found it when I had a horrible pain from an unfinished root canal, I went over to walgreens and decided for this product. The only negative thing is that the eugenol can be a bit difficult to apply in the right amount.... Especially when you're squirming with pain.... But aside from that, it's amazing!! The other day, I was able to replace a lost filling from the comfort of my own desk with the Temparin provided. This filling lasted 3 days before I finally went to the dentist. The only downside is that it comes with 3 cotton swabs... I don't think any other cotton swabs would really work as well as these do (others are too flimsy and you'd get a mouth full of cotton fibers). Bottom line: I recommend it, 100% "

"I had the worst toothache. I dont have insurance and two of my feelings came out the same day. One was hurting really bad. I looked online for help, and came across the whole clove oil for pain. I rushed down to walgreen to see if they had any. Could not find any, so I went to the tooth paste isle and saw this stuff. I have purchased the dentek filling stuff before and it last maybe two days top. thats if u eat only soft stuff. Best time to do it is at night right before bed. Let it dry as long as possible. The problem is that it starts to crumble. And when u do eat stuff it falls apart and gets all in your mouth. sometimes swallowing it. That sucks, the best thing about this kit however is the toothache med, the only reason i bought it was because it had clove oil in it. And i swear by this stuff. It works!!! It took maybe 5 mins after i put it in to go into effect but it totally works. Their are other kits that have only the clove oil or also called eugenol look for it if u dont want to buy this junk. its not by the same company either. or if u can find a bigger bottle buy it it so comes in handy., also be careful cause it will burn your lips if u drop any on it, read the directions carefully."
