STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE

Proper care of your Dentek Nightguard will extend its life.

After each use, rinse the denal protector in cool water or mouthwash. Never use hot water on your dental protector as it might lose its shape.
Store in the hygienic storage container when not in use.

"So far, so good! I have been using the night guard for a week and it has at least helped with my peace of mind. Every time I have gone to the dentist over the last few years they have suggested that I get a night guard, however, a $400 night guard is not realistic for me. I am just relieved to know that I will not do any more damage to my teeth. "

"I just bought this product two nights ago as a last ditch effort to not spend hundreds at my dentist. So far, it seems to be helping. I was worried that it would prevent me from sleeping (having all that in my mouth), but I've slept like a baby for the last couple of nights. "Thank you for DenTek NightGuard! I was able to save several hundred dollars with DenTek NightGuard versus the one from my dentist. It works great and I was able to fit it easily. When I went to the drug store, I purchased DenTek NightGuard becuase the other one available had three sizes and I don't know my mouth size! People tell me I have a big mouth but that doesn't mean I am a large as it looked way too big for my mouth. I decided that the one size fits all one was the way to go and I sure am glad I made that decision. I sleep peacefully knowing I am protected and so does my sleep partner which happens to be my black Labrador retriever! "I wanted to let you know I recently changed from Doctors Night guard to Dentek night guard. I used the Doctors night guard for 5 years. It was hard to fit and it was uncomfortable.I bought your Dentek Night guard after my dog chewed up the doctors night guard.I find the Dentek night guard to be easier to fit. More comfortable. I can even talk to my wife with the Dentek night gaurd; something I could not do with the Doctors Night guard. I want you to know anyone who needs a night guard to combat bruxism should use your product. It is far better than the doctors night guard."

What You Need To Begin

A pot of water
A metal spoon or fork
A mirror
A clock with a second hand

Fitting Instructions

Conduct a "test fitting" by placing the nightguard on your upper teeth and bite down. Make sure it is centered in the middle of your front two teeth.
Using either a stove or microwave, bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.
Remove pot with boiling water and let it rest for 30 seconds.
Place the nightguard with the top layer facing down into the hot water for 45 seconds. DO NOT allow the nightguard to touch the bottom or side of the metal pot at any time.
Remove it with a metal spoon or fork and let air dry for 10 seconds to reduce the heat before fitting.
While looking in a mirror, place in your mouth but do not bite down yet. Align the center of the nightguard below your front two teeth. You may need to squeeze or stretch the back to align with the arch of your mouth.
Using your thumbs, press up on the back of the nightguard onto your back molars and then firmly bite all the way down.
Starting in the back, use your fingers to press the material up and around your teeth and gum line. Use your tongue and thumbs to mold the material against the roof of your mouth.
Suck in to remove excess moisture and create a vacuum that lets the nightguard stay in place comfortably.
Leave the nightguard in your mouth for two minutes to allow the material to firmly set up for a secure fit.
If you achieved a comfortable fit, congratulations, you have finished the fitting process and are now ready to wear your DenTek® Custom Comfort Nightguard!

If you did not get a good fit the first time, repeat the boiling process one more time beginning with Step 1. However, after two attempts, the material loses retention and you will need to contact us to request a replacement DenTek® Custom Comfort Nightguard.
